  • This service includes precise fine tuning. As time allows, we perform minor regulation to improve key response and playability, along with a light dusting to maintain the instrument’s appearance. To ensure lasting results, we also help you schedule a follow-up for continued care and maintenance.
  • NOTE:  The piano must already be tuned to A440 or the respective tuning standard the piano was created for.
"It's Been a While" - $450
  • If you haven't had your piano tuned in 2 years or more, this option is for you. This service provides a thorough refresh for your piano, starting with a pitch adjustment and fine tuning to bring the instrument to pitch.  For most pianos in this state, dusting and cleaning of the inside is needed.  For a cleaning (may be required by the technician upon arrival, if time allows), the client is encouraged to schedule a Standard Cleaning or the Total Cleaning Package.
    To ensure lasting pitch stability, we also help you schedule a follow-up for continued care.
  • A fine tuning appointment will follow 3 weeks after this appointment to regain the proper tuning stability needed (scheduled at the end of the "It's Been a While" appointment).

  • Keep your piano in perfect condition year-round with our smart climate control system. A built-in humidistat automatically adjusts humidity, adding moisture when the air is too dry and removing it when it’s too damp. The system also gently warms the air, maintaining a consistent, ideal environment so your piano always performs—and looks—its best.
  • Includes the system, 5 year warranty, and 2 - 3.5 hours for installation/calibration depending on the system/piano.
  • A 30 minute consultation should be scheduled first so that the proper system in ordered. The consultation is $65 and can be scheduled below.  If system is purchased the same day as the consultation, the $65 consultation fee will be waived.
Hammer Voicing - $250
  • Voicing predominantly involves altering the strike point of the hammer as it touches the strings. Yes, it could involve many other procedures but voicing is more commonly referred to as an immediate alteration to the wool hammers to produce a different tone based on your preference (from bright to mellow, or mellow to bright)
  • NOTE: Piano must be in tune and be in reasonable regulation.​ ​
Reshaping, Fitting, and Voicing - $500
  • This advanced voicing procedure delivers a dramatic improvement in tone and consistency. We carefully reshape the hammer felts to their proper form, ensuring each hammer strikes the strings evenly and precisely. Once the strike points are perfectly aligned, we voice the piano to achieve a rich, balanced sound across the entire keyboard.​

Regulation Reset Service - $1,750
  • Has it been more than a decade since your piano was last regulated—or has it never been adjusted since leaving the factory? This premium service is designed to restore your instrument to its original performance standard. By resetting the action to factory specifications, we revive the piano’s touch and responsiveness, ensuring every note reflects the elegance and refinement it was built to deliver.
    • Grand Piano Action: Your piano’s action will be carefully taken to our workshop for the initial work, then returned, reinstalled, completed and double checked at a time that fits your schedule (allow for at least 4-5 days before returning action).
    • Upright Action: Adjustments are completed on-site, usually over two consecutive days. If back-to-back scheduling doesn’t work, we’ll coordinate with you to find the next best time.
  • Please note: This service focuses exclusively on regulation—tuning is not included.
  • Easy Scheduling: Book this appointment by phone, email, or in person—we’ll make the process simple and convenient.
Full-Day Service (Concert Prep) - $1,000
  • A full day service (8 hours) readies the piano for peak performance.  This service includes precise tuning, thorough deep cleaning, a regulation touch-up to optimize action, and refined voicing for tonal balance as needed or requested. The result is a concert-ready instrument that looks, feels, and sounds its best.  If more time is needed after the initial service, it will be scheduled at a later date by Thompson Tuning.
Half-Day Service - $500
  • A Half-Day service (4 hours) provides essential care to ensure the piano is performance-ready. Services include precise tuning for stability, thorough cleaning, and refined voicing to shape tonal balance. A regulation touch-up may also be performed as time allows, enhancing the action and playing consistency.  If more time is needed after the initial service, it will be scheduled at a later date by Thompson Tuning.
Piano Inspection - $125
  • Buying a used piano?  Not sure what service you need for your current piano?  Hire a professional to go inspect the piano before purchasing or working on it.  This includes an inspection of the function, age, and potential repairs needed so that you know what to expect.​  A written breakdown of the inspection and estimate will be given at the appointment or attached to invoice.
String Replacement
Treble String:  $65 (on hand)
​Bass String:  $135 (custom ordered - delivered in a week)
Over Strung Treble String: $100
  • This service includes the replacement of a broken string. A follow-up visit is scheduled within one week (as availability allows) to fine-tune the pitch as the new string naturally stretches and settles, ensuring optimal stability and performance.​ ​
Other Repairs/Maintenance - $125/hr.
